Carrd lets anyone build a simple, fully responsive one-page site — landing pages, portfolios, waitlists, link-in-bio pages — using a free, intuitive drag-and-drop builder with optional paid plans for custom domains and more elements. Built and run by a developer known as AJ, Carrd started as a side project and grew with no marketing budget, no ads, and essentially no team beyond a part-time moderator, relying entirely on word-of-mouth and its generous free tier. More than eight years in, Carrd hosts millions of sites and generates well over $1M a year in revenue from simple, low-priced annual plans starting at $19/year.
